Power of Element - Earth/Water/Fire/ Air & Metal

The power of elements are dynamic. It is important to be aware of the effect an element has on you.
To experience the element 'Earth' - I get out doors into a park and am aware of the solid feeling under my feet while walk or lie down on the grass. Earth energy gives one the feeling of Stability, Reliability and Confidence.
To carry this solid grounding energy with me all the time - I take a miff of Cedarwood.
To experience element 'Water' - I dangle my feet in a swimming pool or listen to the bubbling sound of a fountain in my Living Room. If you live near the sea watch the movement of an ocean, or a stream.
This arouses the emotions and the ability to go with the flow of life. The essential oil that helps one go with the flow is Palma Rosa.
To learn the power of 'Fire' - I gaze at a fire or a candle flame, or feel the warmth of the 'Sun' on my body. Fire is associated with transformation, action, momentum and the intellect.
Kindle this element within me I use a few drops of Rosemary.
To appreciate the element 'Air' - I watch the smoke of Incense rise (light an incense of my choice). I am attentive to my breath. This element gives me the feeling of growth and creativity.
This element gives me the feeling of growth and creativity.

Experience 'Metal' - by handling a fine Gold or Silver chain. It is associated with abundance, wealth and success.

The oil associated with abundance and wealth is Patchouli

Gratitude

Before you use an essential oil, think Gratitude. This will influence the effect that the aroma has upon you. Many
plants are cut down to extract and distill their essence.
It takes 30 Rose blossoms for instance to make just 1 drop of Rose essence. Zen Gardens treat their plants with great respect. They thank them for their life essence and explain the human need for which they are being harvested.

Hair

My hair was very dull so I gave myself a Molasses Hair Wrap.
Try this Molasses Wrap. To add shine and Moisture to your hair:
1/2 cup Molasses, 5 drops Rosemary essential oil, apply the mixture directly to damp hair and massage into scalp. Cover hair with shower cap or plastic wrap and leave in for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and shampoo hair as usual.

New Life

Put some new life and happiness in the Rooms with Plants and Flowers and Candles and Deffusers with essential oils of Neroli or Palma Rosa.

Ground Myself

Today I was invited to Run to mark 200 days to the 4th Military World Games, that is to be held at Hydrabad. This run has left me feeling all AIRY and I need to ground myself.

So I am going to give all my attention to each task - one activity at a time and forget about the results.

Imagine just eating slowly and tasting each bite or looking at the stars or just listening fully to someone and not thinking about what you want to say".

The smell of Coffee helps to focus the Mind - So lets smell some Coffee as well as drink a cup of Coffee!!

Safari

We have just returned from a three dat stay at Jim Corbett Park - The Tiger country - leaving aside that we went for a Safari to see tigers and saw none!! The stay there was Rejuvenating.

I found that walking in the garden and barefoot on the grass is a type of meditation. It makes the breathing rhythmic and as the breathing expands and lifts so does the mind.

Taking a couple of deep breaths and breathing in the aroma of the grass, the flowers (Mango Blossom) and the trees - Believe you me it is a heady mixture that let my inspiration return to me through my feet

Passion

The most beautiful make-up of a woman is Passion. Today look in the miror, bless the face that looks back at you and put on some make-up (some lipstick).
Put a few drops of Ylang Ylang on a tissue - Inhale and fill your days with Passion about everything.
